The feeling of unfairness has sparked revolts, riots, and revolutions in countless countries throughout history.
As humans we have a desire for things to be fair, but what is fair? The traditional dictionary definition includes: treating people equally without favoritism or discrimination (Google), treating people in a way that does not favor some over other (Merriam Webster), and treating a group of people equally and not allowing personal opinions to influence your judgment (Cambridge Dictionary).
The dictionaries go on to also include: treating someone in a way that is right or reasonable (Cambridge Dictionary), without cheating or trying to achieve unjust advantage (google), and agreeing with what is thought to be right or acceptable (Merriam Webster).
These additional definitions are the core to Finding Fair. They do not condone sameness to mean equality, but instead highlight the feeling of justice, honesty, and morality. This is the fairness that we seek in Finding Fair. A society were everyone is treated reasonably.
